FURTOGRAPHY

‘Furtography’ is the moniker of Christchurch-based pet photographer, Craig Turner-Bullock. Craig, came to G&A with the challenge to update his outdated looking logo he designed himself years ago. He wanted something that could work in black or white, and retained some element of ‘fur’ – and if possible, integrated the fur of his beloved Bengal.

We developed a new brand look and feel for him to incorporate not just his kitty’s fur, but to celebrate furs of all lengths and textures, to reflect the (sometimes crazy) range of animals he has worked with.

He immediately fell in love with the branding direction and logo, so much he stuck furs all throughout his studio as well! We are loving how Craig has embraced the brand and have fun coming up with new furry ideas to help promote his work.

AMAZING CONCRETE

Amazing Concrete approached G&A to develop a brand that established their passion for sustainability within the medium and reflected their use of only the best quality materials and finishes, which are supported by a specialised steel reinforcing systems to ensure structural integrity and unbeatable strength that lasts.

The main logo graphic was developed by combining the delicate structure of a leaf – a longstanding symbol for being environmentally-friendly – and the strength and texture of pure concrete.

We also developed a simple and confident tagline for the company.
But the most fun of all, was conceptualising what a creative branding and advertising campaign could look like for the company using the company’s values and new tagline.

Project: Primo Bathroomware

Primo Bathroomware

Primo is a Christchurch-based manufacturer that makes bathroom cabinetry locally. Their point of difference is that the products feature high-quality imported European vanity tops, basins and hardware. The company is family-owned and has operated for about three decades successfully, dealing mainly with bathroomware retailers and installers without the need for direct-to-public retail promotions.

Plans for expansion of the market into Auckland required an update of the brand to give it a personality that appeals to the end user. So Primo came to the team at G&A to get the job done. The market was identified as women in the mid-to-upper socio-economic group, and so we worked with them to develop the brand in a direction that felt more feminine, fashionable, and fun; developing the use of the original ‘spots’ from their old logo and refreshing the colour palette.

We then commissioned clean and crisp photography of their entire product range, to be used across the website and a brochure we developed with them to help customers personally select their preferred design features and create their own unique bathroomware.

ANTARCTICA NZ [CONCEPT WORK]

Antarctica NZ are a long standing client of ours, we’ve done a lot of work for them over the years especially in designing their annual reports. They approached us to have a look at doing some concept work for a potential rebrand, but it never went ahead. However, we are very proud of the work our designers produced and think it’s world-class!

METROPOL [CONCEPT WORK]

G&A worked with local free lifestyle magazine, Metropol, on some rebranding concepts. The magazine has changed format twice recently and, in the end, these were not applied – but they are still among our fave magazine concepts. We’re proud of them and they remain in the fridge for later.
